Family Resources
We understand the difficulty of having a loved one suffering with addiction.
Do you worry about someone who drinks too much? Do you have a loved one that is suffering from addiction and can’t seem to get the help they deserve? There are hundreds of family support groups and meetings in your community that you can join for support, encouragement, and help.
Banyan Treatment Centers is a network of drug and alcohol treatment centers that provides nationwide addiction treatment services and mental health services with all levels of care. We connect our patients and their families with the proper resources that will aide in the growth through recovery and long-lasting success. Your community is filled with organizations and groups that guide people through the hard times and connect them to the proper resources. Educating your loved ones about the reality and dangers of addiction is so important and families can come together by finding community groups to help support the individuals who are suffering.
Family Resource List
The Family Resource List is a collection of our favorite resources that we hope will help you find some support and answers along the way of your loved one’s recovery. These resources can be instrumental in growing insight into the family’s perspective, role, and journey through the disease of addiction. It can also help you understand, identify, and work towards a common goal with your loved one during and after treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I call my loved one while they’re in treatment?
Participating in your loved ones’ treatment is certainly important, but it is a fragile and measured process as best determined by our recovery team. For the person undergoing treatment, having the support and involvement of their family and friends can help their recovery if done at the appropriate time.
Communication is ordinarily conducted through family sessions with the designated counselor, but letter writing is often permitted, too. We encourage you to reach out to staff at the facility to find out what the best channel is for both you and your loved one.
Is treatment confidential?
Absolutely. Each client has a right to privacy, and at Banyan Treatment Centers we abide by the strictest confidentiality regulations to ensure your privacy is protected.
Will my loved one have access to amenities?
Yes, depending on what facility they are visiting they will have access to all amenities offered.
How can I ensure my loved ones recovery?
While there may be bumps along the way, by maintaining a neutral stance they will be less likely to react defensively or angrily. While you hope they will approach recovery with sincere conviction, there is no way to know the outcome right away. What we do know, however, is that positive reinforcement provides encouragement, and if you focus on healing and offering compassion, you will help propel your loved one forward.
